George W. Bush Has Never Looked More Presidential

U.S. President Bush is greeted by Chinese President Jiang Zemin

I don’t know what it is about this picture, but it really inspires pride in my President.

I think it’s a cool shirt…I like Jiang Zemin’s better though.
I’d wear it if I could find it at the mall…

Why is he wearing Martha Stewart’s housecoat?

Why am I hearing calliope music?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH

I’m gonna mass spam that one to all my homies.

Why am I hearing calliope music?

Not to mention his housecoat…

Oh, my dear lord…

Cue the Ringmaster.

It’s probably just me but I wondered if you morphed those two faces together the composite would look unerringly like Benny Hill.

We should be told the truth.

Of course I should have mentioned I am not the duly elected leader of any country, and sort of get a kick out of making an ass out of myself…so appearances do not matter that much to me.

May I have a lot in common with Bush after all!

Oh, My.

What was he (or his handlers) thinking??

The image of Dukkakis in the tank has finally been topped.

CNN did a spiel on this a while ago. They mentioned that it was a custom that the host country for this particular summit would determine the mode of dress for the final day, something that represented the country and culture. So, it was the Chinese folks, apparently, who chose the outfits, not Bush (or his handlers; though I think he did get to choose the colors).

I watched part of the summit big speech when they replayed it last night.

Everyone on the stage had those on. Most of them were the same as Bush’s, the blue with the gold medallions. A few of them were red with black medellions and those were very nice.

One almost could come to the conclusion that they gave the blue ones out to the ones sure to look the goofiest in them. 'Cause they did.

Ah so!

I have been wecogrised at rast, my pran for wur domiration must wait for arruther day.

You occidental rook sooo arike.

Particularily when dressed to look like a futon.

“Paging Sgt. Pepper… Paging Sgt. Pepper…”

That is the first picture I’ve seen of him since the attack where he hasn’t had a smirk. I usually get the impression that he’s having a little inside joke with himself that causes the smirk, like him thinking “NOW they can’t mock me any more!” I still think he’s the lightest-weight president since… well before I was born.

OK. So, when Zemin comes here, can we put him in a Hooter’s T-shirt?

You know, it’s amazing how fashionable soup can lids can be!

BTW, has anyone noticed that Jiang’s jacket seems to have all black appliques, except the one metallic one…how odd.

And I thought Dubya’s press conference last week was bad…

(Liked Jiang’s red-and-black number, but the blue one is just stupid)

I have to chime in here and say that this is perpetuating a very piss poor Hollywood stereotype in very bad taste. It isn’t even a Chinese accented English as a second language accent. You’re using a parody JAPANESE accent. Jesus H Christ, you can’t even do the correct racist parody. Jiang Zemin speaks better English than this, and he is a gazillion year old communist leader from one of the poorest parts of China who learned English before the revolution. Certainly his English is better than your Chinese.

That distasteful incident out of the way, you can tailor make your own “Tang” jacket from Shanghai Tang http://www.shanghaitang.com/taylor/traditions/classic.asp or run to Chinatown and get one off the rack. The padded silk ones are really warm and comfortable.
