Gerald Ford is undergoing medical tests in Rancho Mirage, CA. No word on what the problem is.
Ford is 93 years old.
Part of me feels bad about him being in the hospital, being that he seems to be a decent fellow.
But…
I have him on this years DP.
So’s I’m conflicted.

I believe his DOB was 7/14/14, so he’s 91.
CNN said 93. Then they said 92. Now you say he’s 91. He just keeps getting younger! Maybe that’s what the tests are for.

It turns out he’s there for gender reassignment. His spokesperson says that he’s always felt he was a cantankerous Golden Girl trapped inside of a Republic ex-president’s body, and he’s not getting any younger, so he’s finally going for it.
Local news reporting that he has a “severe cold”. I’ve often wondered how weird it would be to work at Eisenhower Med Center, where he’s at now. If those walls could talk…but then again, with HIPAA, they wouldn’t be able to say much at all.
You know, I can remember when the only person in Betty Ford was Jerry Ford.
I saw an interview with him a few months ago, and I really felt sorry for him. He still looked healthy, but with every movement you could tell that he was fighting against his body. To have a fully functioning mind trapped in a body that can barely respond to your requests is not something that I’d wish on anyone.
