German Film Studio "UFA"-What happened to It?

In Woody Allen’s hilarious comedy “ZELIG”, you see the film of Zelig in Germany as a Nazi stormtrooper. The german film shows the UFA logo-which was the letters shadows on a spinning globe.
I know that UFA was one of the larger german studios, and that the famous director Fritz Lang directed for them. What happened to UFA-did they survive WWII?
That was such a cool logo!

After WWII the UFA studios at Babelsberg were in Russian-controlled territory. After the foundation of the GDR (German Democratic Republic = East Germany), the state-owned DEFA used the studio facilities. After the German unification DEFA became a regular company and was sold to a French company.

Today the new studios in Babelsberg are used for major movie productions (e.g. “Duel - enemy at the gates”) and is also the HQ for some German TV stations.
