German language question: words and variations thereof in idioms

English-German dictionaries, of course, usually give die Nacht as the German equivalent of “night” or “the night.”
But in an old issue of Mad, in which I assumed the translations were accurate (as, for the most part, they have turned out to be), an old joke question in English is rendered:
Wer war die Dame mit der ich Sie gestern Nache gesehen Habe? (“Who was that lady I saw you with last night?”)
Nache doesn’t appear in the big English-German dictionaries at the library, let alone my pocket dictionary. Is there such a word–even just in idiomatic expressions–in German?

doesn’t have it listed at all, and they are pretty exhaustive on language, but IANAG and can’t really answer…but you don’t think Mad could have spelled it wrong? Though there are a zillion [or so it seems] dialects of german, so maybe it is dialectical?

IAAG. MAD made a mistake. The word is Nacht, and it’s never spelled Nache.

I read the thread, dont think I can manage Prague though…Christian doesnt have a car, so we take the train everywhere we want to go and I think he is already planned for Munich to visit family, and he is going in to have an operation [I am going to be there afterwards for a few weeks longer than normal so he can come home to recouperate instead of staying in hospital… and I really am not leaving him alone to go to Prague…] I do know we are hitting Ramstein at some point, and you are about another 75-100 km further north?

Yes, I think that’s about right. It could be a bit more. I guess it’s a two hour drive from here to Ramstein.

Are you sure it isn’t “Nacho”? Who was that lady I saw you with last nacho. Makes sense to me.
