Let me rephrase that:
Some “regs” are pissed that they arent moderators, and take it upon themselves to “decide” what is for the good of the board

This is the most clannish board i have looked at since my BBS days many years ago.

As far as Melin getting banned…

Most of you know that over the last year or so Melin has self appointed herself the LAWYER OF THE SDMB!

Just like MajorMD is the resident doc, and Michelle is the resident vet.(sorry, vet assistant)

(DISCLAIMER) I am not claiming Melin is a lawyer, MajorMD is a doctor, or Michelle is a vet)

Anyway, Melin has taken it upon herself to give legal advice in this forum,(and I know she has given a disclaimer) and if she has threatened to sue the Chicago Reader, or any entity thereof, they have a perfect right to disassociate themselves from said person as they see fit.

The SDMB is here as a “perk”, if you will, to you people.

Quit acting like you have a “right” to this board.

If I was on the staff of the Reader, I might shut this board down, just because of this lame bullshit. Its not like they are making a fucking dime off your clicks on the banner…
