Get me outta here! It's toooooo hot!

So here we are, a mere 12 hours away from October.

And it’s 100 degrees.

100 degrees.

I’m so tired of this.

I know, if one moves to Tucson… what do you expect?

But I just can’t stand it anymore.

I’m no wimp, I grew up in Houston which has the clammiest, humidest summers you can imagine.

But it’s 76 there today.

AND 100 DEGREES HERE!!!

Don’t tell me to move, I would if I could, but a job has us nailed here, at least for several more years.

At least tomorrow is supposed to be cooler. The high temp is only suppposed to be 99.

I’d be happy to bottle of some of our 70 degree weather and send it to you if you would do the same.

As I lay freezing in my bed last night (the windows were open and the SO insists on having a big fan suck up all the outdoors into the house - it was 47 fricking degrees out there!) I began to think, “I won’t be really and truly warm again until next summer.”

Yeah, yeah, we have central heat and all that, but nothing beats warm sunshine.

Come join me in Minnesota. It was 27 degrees F here this morning. I know Minnesota gets cold, but IT’S STILL SEPTEMBER.

All I can say is thank God for Phoenix. It’s 106 there today. At least I feel cool in comparison.

Damn, that sucks. In Philadelphia today it is about 62 and a little windy, slightly overcast. This whole week has been beautiful with low humidity in an area known for its humid weather. Bring on the fall!

[Nelson]HA-ha![/Nelson]
Oh well, at least you’ll be making fun of the Minnesotans and other assorted far-northern-hemisphere types in another month or so …

I have no sympathy for you whatsoever.

Okay, there is sympathy with you being pregnant in this heat (right?), but 100 degrees is still rather cool!

I think if we could have it at 80 all year, that would be super.

Yes! I’m pregnant, It’s October, and it’s 100 degrees!!!

You should have sympathy for me!

(Does this mean you’re in Phoenix?)

Yeah, I’m in the land of hotter than hell (literally).

I just thank ye gods that I’m not in Bullhead City, AZ or somewhere really hot like that.

But, it’s a dry hea …

[lovingly administered truncheon]

WHAP!

[body hitting floor face first]

Thud!

Say that again when it’s 120. I don’t know if the truncheon will be administered lovingly.

I had to scrape the ice off my windows this morning…in other words, do shut up!

It snowed here yesterday. Come on up.

Well no shit, you’re pretty much at Santa’s workshop up there! Come down to troll country where it’s a balmy 35 right now.

Its warmed up to a nice 38 degress here now.

I was thinking about throwing on the swim suit and taking a dip in the hot tub.

I’ll trade. Gladly. I’m so cold…it’s freezing (well, okay…like mid-40s) and there’s no heat in the building. Because they won’t turn it on until it’s the right date to turn on the heat.

It’s not supposed to snow right at the start of October in my part of Pennsylvania, right? I mean, you’d think you’d hear about Pittsburgh getting snow this time of year if it were a regular thing.

[Zenster physically restrains himself from gloating openly about California’s perfect weather]

I feel your heat pain. I’m up here in Phoenix. Todays high is only supposed to be 98. It’s a cooling trend.

Used to live near Chicago. I much prefer this than that though.

Another wilted and parched Phoenician checking in. Yep, it’s been summer around here way long enough.

(DT hiding a truncheon behind his back) Zenster, we hope you can stop in for the next Phoenix Dopefest. We can chat about the weather and such. As she is usually one of the organizers, I’m sure lel will make sure you get an invitation. Right, lel?

Last weekend here in Victoria (Aus) we had rain, hail and snow in many parts, and some serious BUSHFIRES in the east.

And Victoria isn’t exactly a large state that you would expect to have a lot of such variable microclimates. But, there you go.
