Get Out Of My Country!

I always thought the UK was the 51st state. Only a few more years until the total destruction of English culture, too.

Canada of course, but I reserve the right to go south for the winter.

Silver Fire, if you think that kissing up to the Moderator will win you any points…

Wait a minute-I’m objecting to Silver Fire kissing up?!?
I have got to get my meds adjusted!

choice # 1: Japan. Because Japan is beautiful and fascinating and foreign. And I could have easier access to anime, anime memorabilia and handsome Asian men. And I would be considered exotic (or so my friend says… not sure I believe her).

choice #2: Scotland. Because it would suit me. I like clouds and rain and moors and heather and wind and mountains.

(sorry, I do get to rambling sometimes)

Djibouti. I just think it would be fun to say.

I actually wrote a poem once called, “My Djibouti Beauty”

Canada, and if Canada weren’t available then Australia.

IN:
Australia
Would go to:
[ol]
[li] Hong Kong (the Asian women thing again, and it’s an exciting city)[/li][li] England (coz I’d kinda feel at home there)[/li][li] New Zealand (for the same reason as England)[/li][li] The USA (this could be the best and worst -it’s so varied. Probably NYC)[/li][li] Thailand (sooo friendly - Sawasdeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee  )[/li][li] Anywhere tropical[/li][/ol]

BAVARIA!

I get homesick every single day. And I’m not even from there.

But the best four years of my life were there, and I bet I don’t have that kind of bliss ever again.

Hell, now I’m just waitin’ to die, because there’s a chance that Heaven is something like Bavaria.

From:
USA

To:
Canada - I’m only few miles from the border anyways so it’s no big deal. Growing up with CBC allows me to fit in, eh.
New Zealand
Australia
I have a thing for uncrowded areas. Plus the English speaking thing is nice.

Well, in the unlikely event I get kicked out of both of my countries (Israel and the U.S. - dual citizenship rocks!) then there’s only one place i could possibly go…

*Finland, Finland, Finland
The country where I quite want to be
Your mountains so lofty
Your treetops so tall
Finland, Finland, Finland
Finland has it all!
*

From: USA
To: Ireland

The countryside is beautiful, they speak English, the culture and hertitage are interesting, some of my ancestors came from there, they have great beer, and Irish girls have really sexy accents. What more could I ask for? Sure, the weather’s not so great, but coming from the extraterrestrial climate of New Jersey, I could deal with it.

Second choice: Canada

ANTARCTICA!!

No light pollution, no traffic, no heat waves. As long as I can get some kind of high-speed Internet access there, I should be all right. (Oh, and I suppose I’ll need food and shelter too. Details, details.)

This is not the first time we have done this, I don’t think.

I am in the US, I have only American citizenship.

  1. Israel. It’s the only other country I have lived in, and it is very homey to me. I don’t know if I would go back to Jerusalem, though, not right now.
  2. Mexico. I love Mexico! Also, have family there.
  3. UK. I would move to the UK if it wasn’t so difficult to obtain a work visa. Again, have family there.
  4. Italy. I don’t speak any Italian, but I would love to live in Venice. No cars or McDonalds, but many gelaterias. Mmmm, heaven.
  5. Canada. No disrespect meant to the Canadians, but I have never been there. I hear BC is very nice, though, I would probably go there.

An old friend’s Dad used to say that the Thai are the best people money can buy.

Let me add to my list

Belgium, which seems like a cool place, and I don’t think as straining for my libertarian tendencies as the Netherlands would be, but not far from it.

Japan, again the big-city thing, plus it’s a beautiful country with an interesting culture that I’d like to learn more about.

Costa Rica, probably wouldn’t want to live there until I’m ready to retire, but a great place for getting away from the stress of normal life.

Pack my bags for India.

France. I know the language, I can pass for French given necessary time to change clothes and such, and it’d be a great place to learn how to kiss.

From America? Well, I’ve been living in Japan for the past 6 years, so I guess I’d just stay here.

From Japan? Maybe Cambodia or Thailand. Maybe I’d go to Tahiti and try to renew my French citizenship. Basiaclly, somewhere I can relax in nice weather, where the cost of living isn’t too high.

–sublight.

[b[Scotland**: I love the weather, and the scenery is rather nice, too. Especially in the highlands.

Failing that, then Bali: Lovely, clean, and very inexpensive. Dirt poor, but still it’s clean: That’s gotta say something important about the people that live there.

Maholoth

I doubt that you’d be keen on Djibouti.

I know it’s not politically correct but it sucks, hard.

Norway, yes that’d be nice if they could do something about the midges, my best tip is to visit with a succulent friend.

Bits of the US have a pleasant green aspect, Virginia etc with four proper seasons, Holland is a jolly nice place, bit like Germany but without the busybody next door neighbors, more laid back.
