Some jerkware installed an “FDA” (not that FDA - it’s Free Download A-something) toolbar in my IE.
I know how to turn it off, of course, but each session, it comes back.
How do you delete an added toolbar?

Not quite sure what it is? Download Accelerator perhaps? Go to your control panel, then add/remove…and look for it there. If you find it.,…remove it.
Additionally. download and run Ad-aware. Let it rid you of all it finds.
Try Adaware or Spybot Search & Destroy. If it was installed by Ad Ware, Malware or a rogue program, either of these should take care of it.
Start IE.
On the menu, go to Tools, Internet Options.
In the resulting dialog box, on the General tab, in the Temporary Internet Files section, click the [Settings…] button.
In the resulting dialog box, in the Temporary Internet Files Folder section, click the [View Objects…] button.
In the resulting Explorer window, try to identify which program file or file is the FDA you’re trying to kill. If the names aren’t obvious, try right-clicking each one in turn and selecting “Properties” from the resuting popup menu. On the General tab, the Codebase field gives a hint, as do all the various fields on the Version tab.
Once you have identified the file(s) you don’t want, right-click each in turn and choose Remove from the popup menu. That will uninstall the file and delete it.
If you inadvertantly delete something useful, like say, RealPlayer or Quicktime, don’t worry. The next time you hit a site that wants to use that plug-in, it’ll prompt you to redownload and reinstall the relevant software. That may waste a few minutes, but it isn’t a crisis.
