Get rid of package tracker?

My wife, trying to track a package somehow installed a horror called Package Tracker that has taken over her Firefox browser. It installed itself as the initial page (which I was able to change back to Google) but opens in every new tab. I went through Firefox’s options and there was none that suggested that opening a new tab had been changed. Worse, Package Tracker does not show up on the list of apps. I uninstalled Firefox (Mozilla actually) and reinstalled it and Package Tracker comes with every new tab. It is clearly a virus. Any ideas on how to get rid of it?
