I can’t afford torches
Guess chain-saws would be out of the question then too, huh?

(Who’s already gotten started back by using the above mentioned web-site, and a balled-up sock!)
I wouldn’t recommend a sock. They’re too light and will bounce out of your hand. They also are too large in the hand. Here is what you should do. Get a non-ziplock sandwich baggie or just a few thicknesses of plastic wrap and put 1/2 cup of uncooked rice in it, tie it off, and wrap either a few rubber bands or some tape around it to get the extra flappy plastic under control. Use that.
Thanks OpalCat, I will do that while I’m waiting for The Klutz book. I thank you also for the thread. I’m excited about getting started even though I will probably never be of the caliber of the jugglers described herein.
If I can keep my grandson smiling with three of those “beanbags” it’ll be enough.

I juggled for quite a while in High School and College.
No longer have a group to juggle with.
I have tried
3 balls
4 balls - not well
3 clubs, torches, machetes
6 and 7 clubs passing.
Now I’m back to 3 balls with nobody else to play with.
