Getting married on the run

This pair of nutters got married during the London Marathon - while they were running it.

Totally crazy. And very British.

My best wishes to the both of them.

I say, old chap!

Getting married is certainly English*. However it ranks behing queueing properly, having high expectations for the football team in the World Cup and drinking a nice cup of tea.

Also you could mention this English eccentric:

‘Famous for walking the 2002 Flora London Marathon in a deep sea diving suit, Lloyd will be supporting Sir Steve’s attempt by participating at this year’s event wearing a full suit of amour weighing over 100lbs and dragging a 10’ dragon around the course weighing over 200lbs, to celebrate the marathon taking place on St George’s Day.’

(Wow - either the course weighs over 200 lb, or the reporter needs to work on his phrasing  )
It’s part of Sir Steve Redgrave’s raising over £1,000,000 for charity. 5 Olympic gold medals and he wants to put something back.

*being Welsh would stereotypically involve rugby and singing. As in the celebrity couple Gavin Henson and Charlotte Church.

Apparently that guy won’t cross the line until the end of the month… loon
