Is there a way to capture images that are in PowerPoint, and save them as .jpgs?
Yes. With Powerpoint open, you should be able to copy them to the clipboard and paste them as a new image in a graphics program.
I tried right-clicking, but there is no ‘copy’ option. I have Help, Next, Previous, Go, Meetin minder, Pointer options, Screen, End show.
Another option is to use Print Screen. Open up the presentation, move to the slide you want, and hit the “Print Screen” button. That captures whatever is on the screen in, I believe, bitmap format. Then you can paste the image into Word and crop out whatever you don’t want.
ETA: It looks like you’re trying to copy when the presentation is in “View Show” mode. Exit out of that and go into the area where you can edit slides. Then you should be able to copy and paste normally.
Depending on which version of PowerPoint you’re using, you may be able to right-click and “Save as Picture,” no copy-paste or graphics program needed.
There is no ‘Save as’ option.
Version is PowerPoint 2004 for Mac, v 11.5.5
Wait… I’ve got it.
I was ‘running’ PowerPoint and trying to get pictures off of it. I ‘opened’ PowerPoint to get the version, and then ‘opened’ the file in PowerPoint (instead of running the slideshow).
I was able to copy-and-paste an image.
So problem solved.
Thanks for the replies.
Are you opening the file with Powerpoint or a Powerpoint viewer? If you have Powerpoint, exit from the slidehow and you should be brought to the page layout screen. Now you can rearrange the items on each of the slides, right click and copy, etc.
If you are using a Powerpoint viewer you could try hitting the Printscreen button (shows up as “PrtScn” on a lot of keyboards) and pasting the image into an editor and cropping down the full screenshot to only include the picture you’re interested in.
EDIT: Somehow missed the rest of the posts. I’ll leave my reply as the futile attempt at help it is.
Never mind. Just saw the previous edit.
