I saw it on CNN’s website and immedietly thought of that scene in The God’s Must Be Crazy where his brake is out and he has to open and close the gate (my favorite part of the movie… (truly slapstick)
Can we just post a sticky that says “Hip hop isn’t music” and confine the astonishingly tiresome comments to that effect that plague us to this day to it? Jesus.

Actually, I knew a guy who used to do this with an electric fork lift truck - if you put the handbrake on just one click, the electric damping brake wouldn’t engage when you lifted your weight off the seat switch and the machine would just keep on rolling.
He used to get up to speed, then jump off and run ahead to open a pair of double metal/mesh doors that separated one area of the warehouse from the other; the fork lift would sail through the open doors and he would close them behind, by which time the vehicle had almost stopped on its own and he would jump back on and drive it to the recharging station.
One day, he did the routine, only to find that someone had left the padlock on the floor drop-bolt of one door - he managed to leap out of the way in time, but the truck hit the door, shearing the bolt and twisting the door frame out of shape. If it had been me, I would have been fired, but he was the foreman, so he just shrugged it off.
Yeah, a person where I work took his family skiing a couple years ago and the teenage son was crippled for life from the neck down in an accident. Same injury as superman.
Shit happens. We try to protect them. Thank your husband for trying to save them.
If you ammend that sticky to say “Hip Hop isn’t my music” I’ll go along. I won’t use one, but I’ll defend to my death your right …
