Ghosts Haunting the Trump Administration

I keep getting this weird sense of deja vu and disorientation whever I read news about the Trump administration. It’s filled with people bearing the names of famous dead people.

Ty Cobb is one of Trump’s lawyers, even though, as a Major League Baseball Player, he died in 1961

Stephen Boyd is an Assistant Attorney General appointed by Trump, even though the one-time Massala from Ben Hur and star of Fantastic Voyage died in 1977.

Anthony Perkins is the president of the Family Research Council who gave Trump a “pass” on Stormy Daniels, despite starring in Psycho and dying in 1992.
I’m pretty sure that there are other prominent Dead People associated with the Trump regime, but I can’t think of any more right now.
Heck, it used to be that the only thing that bothered me was that Invasion of the Body Snatchers star Kevin McCarthy was still directing episodes of Jeopardy, despite dying in 2010.

George Papadopoulos was a lead character on the sitcom “Webster,” played by Alex Karras. Perhaps not exactly what you’re looking for, but the first time I heard this Trump advisor’s name, it was the first thing I thought of.

Close enough. The name sounded familiar, but I never watched “Webster”.

Maybe I was thinking of Stephanopolis.

you mean this guy?

When Fire and Fury is made into a movie, perhaps Steve McQueen could direct it.
