I just got TV Land as a basic channel. They’re showing “Gidget”. Now, I was too young to know, but I swear Gidget had a theme song about “identical cousins all the way…”. But, TV Land is playing a different theme about “Gidget is mine…”
What TV show am I confusing “Gidget” with? Or, maybe “Gidget” switched themes?

The Patty Duke Show was the “Identical cousins” theme. Patty Duke played both characters.

As Gidget was only one person (as opposed to two different characters played by the same actress), the character would have to be suffering from multiple personality disorder for the show’s theme song to be about “identical cousins all the way.”
Sally Field? Multiple personality disorder? Was there a Sybil theme song?
