Come on people… who’s buying it?
'Fess up!

I may rent it.
Trainwrecks do hold a certain morbid appeal. I’ll probably wait for the B-Channel rerun, though.
I’ll rent it, but not buy it. I’ve been dying to see it since I heard the savage reviews, but wasn’t willing to pony up to see it in the theater.
I’ll dl it.
It can’t be as bad as everyone said, can it?
No, it can’t.
What?
I really should think all thoughts through, before hitting ‘submit’.
More seriously, it might end up making money for the producers. I remember when Waterworld first came out. The most expensive movie ever, a trainwreck, reviews where abyssmal, the studio on the brink of bankruptcy ASF.
It ended up showing a profit, largely from video sales and rentals. I guess quite a lot of people had this morbid curiosity to see the train wreck.
Geez, it can’t be that bad.
:smack: Forgot to add:
Yeah, I’ll probably rent it too.
Only if Bennifer does a commentary.
I’m drawn to these things, too–but I’m not paying to rent this, I’ll wait till the library gets it.
Wow, there are no less than four Police Academy movies on that list.
And no, I won’t be buying it. It’ll probably be on HBO for about two weeks, so I’ll try to catch it then.
Wow, a trip down memory lane in that link. Gigli has some seriously bad company: Stop or my mom will shoot, Steel, Cop & 1/2, and Battlefield Earth.
I used to be drawn to these sorts of disasters until I rented Battlefield Earth to see if it was really as bad as people said. Since then, I’ve not been able to intentionally see a movie with bad reviews for fear of more suffering.
Well that does it! Now I have to see if the library has Battlefield Earth
Please, go see it and then start a thread here called, “Why Battlefield Earth Sucked”. I feel the need for another venting about this movie soon.
I just checked–the library has it and I’ll be there tonight, trolling for Grade A crap to watch to make me laugh–or put me to sleep–either outcome works for me. Times like this I really miss MST3K.
I am surprised they’re even releasing it. But I’m sure it’ll be some cult classic bad-movie in 20 years or so like Cleopatra, Ishtar or (more along the lines of) Manos: The Hands of Fate.
I’ll watch it just for the “gobble gobble” line.
sigh My turn… I suppose I will too. Hopefully as a free rental or something.
Obligitory Simpsons Quote
Upon learning Bart stole a video game
Homer: How could you? Why do you think I took you to all those Police Academy movies? For fun? Well, I didn’t hear anybody laughing! Did you?
