So any dopers still watching the GmoreGs?
This season has been kind of odd. And lately the “rich people culture is insane” motif has gotten a little too insane. Although I did like Logan’s dad’s line last week about “what difference does it make why you were given the opportunity, take it.”
This week the dinner at Richard and Emily’s was probably the most cringeworthy segment the show has ever done.
Based on the previews for next week my suspicion that the season would end with a pregnancy may come true.
Truth be told… I wanted it to be Rory who got pregnant and decided to abort further cementing the divide between mom and daughter.
I watch every week. It has been a bit odd this season. I think I know where they’re going with the Logan thing. Was he really going to let that poor maid take the blame for the missing sewing box? If Lorelei hadn’t done something, it seemed like Rory wasn’t going to say anything either. I’m starting to like her less.
I loved Emily’s passive-aggressive “sidecar/martini” thing with Lorelei. That woman is a genius at cutting people.
My main reaction after last night’s episode was “That’s it?” The dinner segment was indeed cringeworthy.
At this point, Luke is the only character with whom I can sympathize; seeing as he only had about 3 minutes of screen-time, I spent most of the hour feeling really annoyed at everyone else. Even Richard, who wasn’t terrible. Maybe only mildly evil.
It’s the one show I watch with any frequency (even though I missed most of this season because of classes) so I was pretty disappointed.
