Did anyone else notice that it was the Gellar’s maid who picked up Paris and scolded her after the bell ringing incident? A really nice subtle touch. You really have to feel sorry for Paris sometimes.
Just an over all great episode. I see the trend for this season is going to be throwing the girls into the world of Hartford/Chilton and straining their ties to Star’s Hollow.
It is really funny to watch Gilmore Girls and then watch Buffy (on tape). You see just how mediocre Buffy is in every single way. From writing to acting to pacing. Gilmore Girls is aw ell crafted show. Buffy is just pop-crap flung on a wall.
Ahem - I think you have the two shows mixed up. Gilmore Girls is good - but I think they are going downhill fast, which is a sad thing, after only starting their second season. Buffy however, continues to enthrall and pack an emotional punch.
Emotional punch? Enthralling? Not to turn this into a bbq pit worthy thread, but Buffy is not a good show. The entire supporting cast with the exception of Giles (who now isn’t in the regular supporting cast) are COMPLETELY worthless.
I’ve only started watching the show this season which gives me a better perspective on it then someone who has invested years of tv time into it.
The show is mildly funny. The characters are mildly interesting. The plots are barely above average. Like I said earlier it is pop-crap flung at a wall. It is mediocre.
[puts on Rory hat]
THERE WILL BE NO BUFFY OR ANY OTHER SHOW BASHING IN THE
GILMORE GIRL THREAD, Because no matter what, it’s going to end up in the pit. If you can’t play nice, don’t play at all.
