Lorelei goes 50 minutes (which is apparently a day or two in Stars Hollow) telling God and everybody that she is committed to Christopher, stands up to him when he’s being a cowardly jackass (“I need some space. I’ll be at Mommy’s instead of trying to work out things here with you, the woman I’ve been chasing for 20+ years”) and even plans to stop talking to Luke completely just to make her marriage work.
But then she listens to Zach (badly) play “My Heart Will Go On”, and then chucks the whole millionaire’s wife gig. So, was Lorelei just lying to herself, or is Celine Dion that powerful?
Did you see how she cleaned out her house after the break-up with Luke? All that new stuff is going into the trash. And because she got married in paris, she’ll never eat french fries or french toast again.
As a Celine Dion fan (yeah, yeah, yeah) I’d say she’s just that powerful. It’s really pretty much what she said, she wanted to want him but doesn’t. I’m not sure if I like this plotline or not…at least it’s over. Honestly, it all started with Luke’s dumbassness last season and I really think they simply painted themselves into a corner.
Lorelei was just lying to herself. I think she realy started seeing this when Sookie asked her something along the lines of: “If Luke didn’t exist, would Chris be the one?” Chris is just a rebound guy, unfortunatly.
Yeah!
I disagree. I think it was more Lorelei’s dumbassness. If I recall correclty, Luke was ready to get married, but Lorelei was making him wait indefinatly becuase of her issues with Rory. They make up, but she couldnt do the same thing as for Luke? When he just found out he had a kid?
Well hopefully things will get better, because now Lauren Graham has become a producer on the show. Where that will lead, who knows? The rumor is the the CW wants another season of “Gilmore Girls” and that Alexis Bledel may not sign on as a season long regular, making guest appearances instead.
Personally, I am glad that Lorelei and Christopher have broken up. I do agree that most of the blame lies with Lorelei, and her relative immaturity dealing with relationships. Actually both Lorelei and Christopher have been behaving very immaturely.
Rory and Logan? Now there are two people who are on their way to the altar, and rightfully so. I am waiting to see if there is going to be any backlash from Logan’s family, espcially concerning his new business ventures. I think that his character is becoming much more his own man. I just hope that Rory doesn’t blow it with him.
I agree. At first I couldn’t stand him, but now I really like him. I think Rory has been a good influence, as well as graduating college and going to work.
