By what criteria are we judging them? As Boyo Jim has suggested, similarity to the Antichrist? Shininess of their jackboots? Creative wearing of mod underoos?
If there’s any problem that’s deserving of a revision in administrative policy, it’s that.
Recently one of our more vile posters expressed his support for the destruction of the entire Jewish religion by fire and received a warning against wishing genocide on any ethnic groups, and was told that sort of behavior was simply not acceptable. Then a short while later, the same mod specifically called the same poster out for a separate instance of trolling Israelis and suggesting that they would all best be kidnapped and murdered so as to avoid the necessity of allowing them to go on living.
I understand a soft touch, but sometimes the mods let far too much slide by.
If they were to ban Lobsang after letting that kind of ethnic assault go by, they would seem rather inconsistent, wouldn’t they?

Witness, for instance, tom Warning LeKatt for saying that skeptics were mentally unwell while allowing der trihs to say that believers were “mentally ill” with nary a comment.
For the record, I don’t think that Lobang deserves banning… but if you receive a warning for something and then do the same thing again, there should be some sort of consequence other than another warning.

MEBuckner responded by saying “loose talk (however coyly phrased) about the extermination of entire ethnic or religious groups crosses the line. Don’t do this again, on any forum of this message board.”
About a year later (a short time, I’d argue, between instances of public support for genocide) our Neo-Nazi opined that “Now’s the best time of Shalit’s life. Low on liberty and a social life, but that is more than outweighed by the benefits of separation from Israeli culture and practices . He’s in a relative paradise of civilisation and the charitable hope is that there he remains until the end of his days.” The Neo-Nazi then went on to elaborate, stating that “he’s certainly better off than brutalising himself to a living death through service in the West Bank IDF.”
That takes on an entirely different meaning when you realize that Shalit wasn’t even in the “West Bank IDF” but was captured in a cross-border raid from Gaza into Israel. So even Israelis who aren’t in the West Bank should be kidnapped by Hamas and left to their tender mercies "until the end of their days’
Of course, he was busy using one of his favorite mealy mouthed techniques of supporting the genocide of Israelis, namely suggesting that it really isn’t genocide since they are in a state of “living death” (much like his support of Hamas’ genocidal goals by claiming that they don’t really want to commit genocide since they consider Israelis to be “already dead” and his alignment with Hamas’ worldview with his own claims that the Israelis are “dead already, in every way that matters.”)
The slimy Neo-Nazi went as far as to taunt Alessan with his trolling, as his claims that the Israelis are “already dead” and that they’d be better of being captured by Hamas leads to an inescapable (and deliberately unspoken) conclusion about what he believes should be done to the Israelis. But of course, like most racists, he’s too much of a coward to actually come right out and loudly proclaim his evil. He has to merely put forward ‘arguments by inference’.
At which point MEBuckner, the same mod who’d told him not to wish, however coyly, for the genocide of any groups… gave him yet another in his long string of warnings, and another in the series of official warnings for trolling via racism/bigotry directed at Jews/Israelis.
Meaning that he receives roughly annual Warnings (after a Final Warning in 2006), and the majority of those warnings have been for trolling and for racism, bigotry or outright avocation of genocide directed at Jews or Israelis.
All of that going together to show, of course, that the previous Warnings have all been full of sound and fury…
I of course leave it as a thought experiment to those reading along, to figure out just how quickly a poster would be banned for supporting the genocide of all homosexuals as “entirely natural and to be expected” or for saying that all liberals were “dead already” and that they should be kidnapped by terrorists, denied access by the Red Cross and never, ever, returned to their families… since captivity “until the end of their days” would be an improvement over liberal culture and practices…
