I’ll keep my outright condemnation short and sweet.
Organizations that unite and support minority groups exist because minorities require supporting. African Americans being the most obvious example are still subject to inequitable treatment in this country and hence are entitled to measured means of affirmative action to rectify this situation as prescribed by the federal government. I don’t think school clubs for minorities in particular are protected by the government, but it isn’t a stretch to assume that if the right of one to exist was challenged there would be considerable outcry on the hill.
Now the flip side. White student’s aren’t entitled to a “White Club” for two reasons. The first is because they aren’t disadvantaged as a result of their skin color, and the second is because the last white club is still dressing up as ghosts last I heard.
