Girls - do you like long hair on guys?

I don’t mind slightly shaggy, but any longer and I don’t like it unless it’s cornrowed, braided, or dreadlocked. That’s just me though, and judging from the opinions of my friends I’m in the minority on this.

I like long hair on guys (psst…don’t tell the husband) but not past their shoulders. Call me picky but with the exception of Robert Plant and Lou Gramm, I only like long hair on dark-headed men. Also, it must be clean.

Ditto the anti-mullett too.

Hair, hair,
Long beautiful hair…

I love long hair on guys!

Any length of hair is good for me, as long as it is not a buzz cut, which I hate. Neil and Tim Finn always have good hair, as well as Gavin Rossdale and Art Alexakis.

I’ve had my hair long, short , long, short over the years, and have noticed that you meet very different types of women depending on the costume you are wearing. I’m going to keep it long now.
nuff said.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.

As long (npi) as it is well taken care of (clean, brushed, no snarlies, et al).

Oh. Gawd. Yes.

I like it if it looks healthy and clean with NO mullet involved. My mom used to say with great disappointment…“why do you always like the guys with stringy lank hair?”…followed by a great sigh…I dated one guy and when we walked down the street once we both got whistled at…Margo

My husband’s hair is longer than mine and silver gray. His beard is white and very long. I love long hair, although I do wish he cared to trim it a bit more…just the ends. I wouldn’t recognize him any other way. I’ve known him for almost 30 years, and have never seen him clean-shaven. He gets very nervous when a waiter comes by with a flaming plate of saganaki!

I’m generally a fan of long hair, if it’s well-kept and clean. The only style I don’t care for on men is a buzz cut. It makes me think of the Marines, which is a big turn-off.

I’m just gonna walk through this thread real slow with my hair in a pony tail. Oh I do trim my hair but it seems that no matter what I try and do with it five minutes later it’s split city. :frowning: I’ve had up to two inches cut off and it was still split! Then again I’ve never had any complaints about it looking bad.

My very first boyfriend had hair to die for!! It was longer, blonder, thicker, and wavier than mine - and he introduced me to Pantene Pro-V!! mmmmmmmm… I loved his hair.

Until he shaved off most of it around his head (would’ve been a mohawk if it hadn’t been so long) and dyed the rest purple and blue. (Thankfully, we’d been broken up for about 2 years at that poing.)

No. No. No.

For the love of all that is good and holy, get to a Supercuts.

El Hubbo had long hair when I met him. But that was in the late 80s and it was fairly cool back then.

Long hair on guys nowadays… No.

I cut El Hubbo’s for him.

long hair on guys is hot. it has be just the right face and just the right length. It looks best when it flips to half of thier forhead. on the shoulders is to much. just above the ears is best.

I love long hair on men.

But it really depends on the guy. Some guys can pull it off, some can’t. It must be well kept too. I don’t like the scraggly look. My present bf has quite short hair, but I think it looks good on him.

Ohhhhh, but long dark hair will turn my head and make my brain stop. dreamy smile

Long is good.

Hola, this is my first time posting on sd. yola sent me.

Great question. Right now I dig this guy, and I think it’s almost totally because of his hair. it’s BEAUTIFUL and dark and shiny, and curls around his ears when he puts it in a ponytail. I love it.

But I think it’s really unique to the guy and how he wears his hair…tough, dirty guys wear it the best I think (like mechanics or skateboarders). I think long hair is HOT on the right guy, but I can’t appreciate it on a prissy guy…um, kind of a ratio of hair length to masculinity. I don’t mean to offend…that’s just how I see it.

Cheers!
