Girls, stop getting all of these tattoos, ya look skanky.

In the OP? Excuse me but did YOU read the OP, because, no he didn’t, not in the OP.

Again, did YOU read the OP? He didn’t qualify his thread title of “…ya look skanky” anywhere in his OP, but he DID go on to make lots and lots of other assumptions about women with tattoos in his OP.

Here I am, 15, and already planning what I’m getting for my first tattoo(I’m thinking a nice little briar rose on my shoulder) and then this thread comes along.

Well, since being a skanky ho is my lifelong ambition, I can’t wait till I’m legal!

You’re correct. He did apolgize in the thread that sparked this one and it was linked in the second post on page one.

Yes, he did. Still, my point still stands. People were arguing about all sorts of things that were most certainly not in the OP (like about how their father wasn’t a skank) and that stopped after I made my post.

Haj

Nope. Two separate things. You’re an ass and your opinion is different than mine. But, if you’ll go back and read, I didn’t actually call you an ass. I said you had an ass on top of your neck. So, I guess you could say I was calling you a butthead.

Have you been reading these things before you post them?

In the interests of full disclosure, I have no piercings or tattoos. I may, in the fullness of time, eventually get one or the other, or even both, but for right now, I don’t have the inclination to spend the large amount of money it would take to get quality ink done, and big needles scare me.

That said, I don’t think anyone is basing their decision to get or not get a tattoo on your opinion that they look “UNoriginal”. You need to get your head out of your ass and realize that you are not the ultimate arbiter of aesthetic sensibilities, and people can look perfectly beautiful regardless of what adornment they have chosen for their own bodies.

This thread is still alive?:smack:

If your OP and main argument WERE just this, that you personally think tattoos are ugly etc, then no one would have had a problem. To each his own and all that.

The trouble is that, in your OP and your general attitude, both here and in the original thread, you try to force you opinion down other’s throats and state that not only YOU hate them, but that most of society does too, and that if girls who have them (or are thinking about getting them) don’t see this, hear and obey, that they are gonna (your words) look like skanky ho’s.

You wrongly tell girls what they “need” to do. And you state, as if you can read minds that women who do this are either abused, sexually promiscuous (or just look it), or are self-mutilators.

BTW, neither I, nor many others in this thread, really see a huge difference between saying someone IS a skanky ho, and saying she “merely” looks like one.

FTR, I don’t have tattoos, I’m not a big fan of them, FOR MYSELF. I think some of them look interesting. Not my cup of tea, but kindof neat from time to time.

However, they are NOT a “fad” (as some have incorrectly tried to use as an argument), sure, some young women may get them for the wrong reasons, just as some young women might get plastic surgery for the wrong reasons. But the darn things have been around as long as man has walked the earth (or at least as far back as we have records of tribal tattoos etc).

And they have become very mainstream and accepted by most of society (at least insofar as what I see in popular culture). Cite, or links? Look back on page two or so, where someone lists about 50 beautiful popular actresses/celebrities who have them.

Anyway to sum up…

To rant about how you dislike tattoos, and that you personally find them ugly, etc etc. Fine.

To Direct people to not get them because of YOUR opinion? Wrong. And that’s what (among other things) Mockingbird and others have been trying to tell you.

If you don’t like girls with tattoos. Fine, don’t date or pursue girls with tattoos. But your “order” to women to not get them because YOU don’t like them.

Well hell, let me tell you, as a woman? That sounds strikingly like the old attitude of women collectively “belonging” to men, and like someone else in this thread so aptly put, that our duty and job was just to “look pretty” for men.

We do NOT have a duty to keep ourselves a “certain way” in case a man comes along who might be interested in us.

Oh, okay.

Okay, I don’t see a real big difference between someone saying someone “looks” like a skanky ho, or that someone IS a skanky ho, but okay.

And as to people arguing that people (including themselves) that they knew and loved, who also happened to have tattoos, but who WEREN’T skanky etc? I have a hard time seeing how that’s not a relevant argument against the OP.

His point is that “everyone” thinks tattoos are cheap, skanky etc. Their examples were “no they’re not, I know suchandso, and they are NOT skanky” etc.

Sounds pretty relevent to me.

Muad’Dib, Iagree with your idea, it’s a very subjective issue though. Have you tried using the weirding way to get chicks?
That’s be great if they were calling out your name and you both climaxed instataneously. It might even fade her ink or cause some peircing to come out. CHAaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

Another proud skank checks in to say fuck you to the OP!!

As someone who’s both pierced and tattooed, I’m not here to call anyone names. I know that some people don’t like tattoos. Fine. If you think that everyone who has one (which happens to be a lot of people who are younger, and some that are older) is a skanky ho, fine. I think the same thing of girls who wear daisy dukes and bikini tops.

However, if I happened to be on a deserted island (with someone who could tattoo, so I guess it wouldn’t be completely deserted), I’d still get tattoos. I currently have 4, and have 2 sets planned: One as a reward for when I manage to get to my goal weight, and one that I think will be beautiful- neither of which will be visible. Of my 4 tattoos, 2 of them are rarely seen, because of the kinds of clothes I wear. The other two are barely noticable, delicate line drawings on the backs of my wrists.

If I purposly get tattoos in places that cannot be seen, am I still a skanky ho? Would my skank level go up if I wore the kinds of clothes that showed off the tats on my lower back and left brest? If a woman who wore that kind of outfit, but didn’t have tattoos, would she still be skanky?

Anyway, to the “no beautiful woman has a tattoo” or whatever was said in the OP (I’ve forgotten it after 5 pages), here’s a list of Celebrity Tattoos. Decide for yourself. Hell, Czar Nicolas II and Winston Churchill have/had tattoos. Angie Everhart, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry, Sandra Bullock, etc. I’d consider those women “famous beauties.”

Oh, I wasn’t going to call names until I reread the OP and saw this quote again:

“you will often see a nice correlation between how screwed up a girl is and how much body modification she has done (especially if she was physically abused).”

Fuck you. Fuck you VERY much. No one’s ever laid a hand on me in my life. Nor was I neglected. The only “screwed up” that I am is depressed, which gobs of people have.

Once again, fuck you for that gem. I’ll take people assuming I’m a skanky ho because of my tattoos - I don’t care. But as soon as you assume something about my parents abusing me. . . Fuck you.

Was that a car accident? Did someone run into a door? Oh, it’s this thread.

Good God, who bumped this nine month old train wreck?

Angelina Jolie.

Personally, I don’t like her. It’s certainly not because she has several prominent tattoos.

You’re a jackass.

I’m female, I have a tattoo and I plan to get more.

Goddamnit. My always-erroneously-tweaking sense of deja vu just can’t fucking handle it when I get two pages in before I realize I actually did read it before. You’re killing me here.

Muad’Dib, you’re a jackass.

Wow. I didn’t realize this thread was sooooo old when I posted to it. :frowning:

Sorry.

That was funny.

Let’s restrict the drama to one Muad’Dib trainwreck at the time.
