Give me some advice

Any advice. What’s your best tip?

Mine is for breastfeeding mothers. If you find you’re not making enough milk, go to the health food store and buy a bottle of fenugreek capsules and take 2-3 pills 3 times a day. This is so effective that I have never needed to take them past 24 hours.

For menstrual cramps, orgasms work wonders. I’m not sure how many women know this, but I think more women should.

Seriously? I have cramps right now. No SO though.

But I DO have lots of batteries. Heh.

Yep, way better than Midol in my book.

I think more men should too…

Never turn the music down so the baby can sleep (unless you’re blasting it at ear-drum-popping levels…). Get the little darlin’s used to loud noises - that way you don’t have to whisper and tiptoe around the house at naptime.

If you’re prone to acne and have sensitive skin, don’t use harsh benzoyl peroxide products. Twice a day wash your face with a very gentle cleanser (like Neutrogena Foaming Face Wash) and wipe a cotton ball soaked in hydrogen peroxide over your face. Twice a week use baking soda to gently exfoliate.

I wish I knew this sooner. I’ve been doing this for 5 months and my skin has never been better.

Here Here!

or should that be: Here! Here!?!

dang cramp cure doesn’t work for me - okay, it stops them temporarily, but then they come back within a few minutes, and they’re WORSE.

Advice:

When it comes to raising your kids, trust your gut. Your instincts are there for a reason and are worth listening to.

(fenugreek is great, isn’t it? That and keeping hydrated…)

Morgainelf, where were you 15 years ago?!! I ended up curing my acne with age.

hedraI LOVE fenugreek! I dry-up from stress sometimes and fenugreek brings the milk back to gushing.

Oh no! Sorry, hedra! It always works for me–in no way did I intend to make your cramps worse. :frowning: Sorry again.

hey, not your fault - and I learned that lesson many many years ago (from a boyfriend, BTW). Periodically I try again, just to see… and nothing has changed. Bummer-du.

Leifsmama, I wish mine was cured with age! Granted it’s much better now than it was 15 years ago (I’m 34) but I still break out from time to time and my skin was ALWAYS red. Now I don’t even need to wear foundation.
