Oh my god. That is so accurate.
No, he was definitely told he couldn’t live under Burt’s roof, then later Finn came around and dressed like a freak to help Kurt against the two jerkwad football guys, but they never said anything about the Hudsons being allowed to come back to live with them after that. Next we saw of things was right in this episode, where Finn at least was living in his house, not Kurt’s, and I can’t see Mrs. Hudson letting him live there alone.
Somebody at “Glee” headquarters is paying a lot of attention to what people are saying on the internets, so if you want something, let them know!
Rachel Barry to be run over by an out-of-control steamroller? Please?
I love the show in spite of her, but damn if she isn’t annoying.
Naked Puck Naked Puck Naked Puck Naked Puck Naked Puck Naked Puck Naked Puck Naked Puck Naked Puck Naked Puck Naked Puck Naked Puck Naked Puck Naked Puck Naked Puck…
The *Rolling Stone *pic of Kurt at a leather bar caused some controversy; some saw it as “fish out of water” humor, others as a gang rape about to happen. What do you say? (Personally I thought “ewwww… misfire”.)
I was amused.
Eh, it’s kind of cute and funny, IMO. I agree very much about the Naked Puck…maybe if we all wish hard enough…
Is he old enough to be drinking? Or allowed in the door?
Just pretend he’s in Europe. Or Alberta, the drinking age is 18 there.
I’d settle for Rachel stopping that annoying thing she does at the start of every phrase when she’s singing - that kind of nasal, squealy thing.
It just bugged the crap out of me that Kurt wore his hat in church - okay, so he doesn’t know the rules, but there was a guy right behind him to the left wearing a hat too. But I guess no LA people have ever seen a real honest-to-goodness church.
There’s a lot of hat-wearing going on in some churches. It’s common enough that in my circle we use “crazy church hat” to describe any outlandish type of hat.
Yeah, but I think it’s always just the women who wear the hats.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing – men used to always take their hats off indoors. That rule has obviously relaxed, but a man wearing a hat in church struck me as profoundly wrong. (And the whole Artie playing football hasn’t caused me the slightest pause. )
I took him keeping his hat on as just another nod to his sense of gender fluidity. Didn’t notice the other man wearing a hat.
As a religious person, I was kind of “meh.” Not because of the way they handled faith, really - I don’t think they disrespected it much. I could tell they were trying to be respectful, anyway, so I give them props for that, and also for no dramatic coversions in either direction. Kurt didn’t fall to his knees at the end, nor did Mercedes lose her faith. Kurt did lose his faith, but since he was placing it in a grilled cheese sandwich it didn’t bother me.
I think the only thing that bugged me was the song selection. When Will introduced the night’s theme, I thought maybe they would do some really spiritual songs. Hopefully toss in a gospel choir number, even. There are endless possibilities, even if you limit yourself to pop/rock hits. But the numbers they did choose (Only the Good Die Young, Losing My Religion, Bridge Over Troubled Waters) were shoehorned in and are not spiritual songs at all. They could have done, for example, “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” (or any of a number of U2 songs), just off the top of my head.
I did, however, find Kurts “I Wanna Hold Your Hand” really moving (if a bit over auto-tuned). Otherwise though the song-picking was uninspired (irony!).
Oh, and don’t forget: Jane Lynch is hosting SNL tomorrow night. That should be good, I can’t wait for the obligatory Glee sketch.
My friend’s son won tickets to go to SNL tomorrow night. How awesome that Jane Lynch is the guest host.
I agree. I think they could have created a more cohesive, meaningful plot had they done a better job listening to songs and focusing on the message instead of just googling “songs about religion” and force feeding them in.
They missed a perfect opportunity to introduce some good gospel music, which is a shame because it’s a popular show and as such they can take more risks.
Would have been fun seeing Kurt do a country song about god.
