Glee on FOX

Some great lines in this one:

“I was going to come to your office, but I don’t know where it is”

And the Cheerio who misspelled her own name, LOL!

Great musical numbers as well, & the final one was really well done.

I think it was part of Quinn’s feelings about what she sees as Finn’s eventual leaving of her for Rachel.

Quinn has to wear smocky things now :frowning:

Man, I hope Terri kills herself or something. She is such a horrible person.

I also hope things crash on Quinn. If it were really Finn’s I’d have a lot more sympathy for her, but because she cheated and she’s lying to Finn, nothing redeemable.

Yeah, Terri needs to suffer. You know that scene in Hancock, when he follows through on his threat to the two prisoners? Someone needs to do that to Terri and her sister.

Jane Lynch rocking out again: “Should they learn Spanish? Sure! If they want to become dishwashers and gardeners. But if they want to be bankers, and lawyers and captains of industry, the most important lesson they can possibly learn is how to do a round-off.”

I’m also ridiculously tickled by the throw away line by one of the minority kids, “Bye, White people!”

I heard a radio interview with her last week; she says there is very little improvisation on the show. It’s almost all scripted.

Yeah- what’s with the flouncy blouse all of a sudden? Five minutes before she was in her body-hugging cheerleader outfit, but now that the cat’s out of the bag she in maternity wear even though her body still hasn’t shown any signs of pregnancy?

I have unnatural fantasies about Rachel, for some reason.

Well it appeared to me that the final number wasn’t an actual performance, but a Quinn-fantasy number, where everyone knows she’s pregnant and she has to wear a smock and is crying about her fate (while Finn is holding hands with both Quinn and Rachel).

My fanwank is that those are the outfits for the future performance and so they planned for Quinn to need a little extra room then.

I was scared for the show because I heard a recentnews blurb say “bad news for the cast of Glee” but I missed the actual news report. I was sure Fox had canceled it but as it turns out they were disinvited from the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

NBC is in enough trouble without promoting a rival show.
Loved, loved, adored last night’s episode. It had that dorkiness-combined-with-angst that all the characters do so well. Finn’s cluelessness is spot-on, and Rachel’s expression when he says he’ll make it up to her someday just breaks my heart, remembering high school crushes and that feeling of being completely overwhelmed.

Hate Terri, but I have to confess, I was truly sorry for her when she told Will to remember she loved him, ‘no matter what’. She knows she’s fucking up, but she can’t get off the path.

Jane Lynch needs to win an Emmy. She is my new deity.

Wasn’t that said by the wheelchair kid? Which makes it even better.

I think it was supposed to be real, since it was all sung on stage. Also, it wasn’t really that much of a smock. It’s not like she was wearing something completely different. They were all wearing different outfits.

Also, that was probably one of the best performances so far. Just enough production without sounding fake.

I loved her choosing her for the mini-gleeclub:

“Santana, Wheels, Gay kid, Asian, Aretha, Other Asian…”

And the bit about not trusting men with curly hair was so surreal and random I was just dying. And she was so violently disgusted! I nearly fell off the couch laughing!

Man, no love for Terri’s sister? First the bizarro crap about vaccinations, then the whole thing with the doctor. (God, the look on his face while he was doing the fake ultrasound…)

There was some blurb for the news here about how they want the cast to come do the parade in Detroit instead, but I didn’t watch the actual news (I watch this show via DVR), so I don’t know if it was a serious offer or wishful thinking or what.

“OH!”
“Is something wrong?!”
“Nah. Just that the boy’s a girl now.” ::shrug::

I’ll go one better and say that she’s lying about her age. I’d say she’s 40-43 if she’s a day, or she’s had a hard life of no sleep and lots of booze. Or, bad genes.

Take your pick.

Wow I really loved this episode, even with the R&B number and the fantasy sequence. Glad they are back to greatness musically. And the story is fun too. Lots of touching moments and lots of funny moments.

Loved this episode and this show, with one large exception: Terri. I said it regarding last week’s episode, and I’ll say it this time too: she needs to be killed off. Her character is completely unredeeming, and that story line makes her more than hateable–I want to beat the shit out of her. Will is such a great guy (and I am very impressed with the actor), but she blows large, rancid chunks. Hubby is even more bothered by her than I am; he said if they keep going with that story line, he just may be done with the show.

Is there anyone here who actually likes Terri and/or her storyline?

Quinn’s “Keep Me Hanging On” was weak, but the final number was excellent. And as always, Jane Lynch was a goddess.

I don’t like Terri. I don’t think we’re supposed to like her. The thing that I don’t like about her storyline is that there’s no way she would be getting away with the fake pregnancy. Yeah, I know that show only has a passing resemblance to reality, but that keeps taking me out of the story.

But I don’t have the visceral hate that everyone else seems to have for her. She’s unlikeable, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Not me. But then again, I don’t like any of the characters except Rachel. I sometimes wonder why I’m still watching. While I recognize that clearly every one of these characters are supposed to be flawed, it doesn’t make watching them any easier.

I know what you’re thinking. Jane Lynch and her wonderfully despicable character with her wonderfully outlandish statements make it worthwhile.

Well sure, she’s great. I just wish the script writers who give Jane such terrific lines would have focused their efforts a little more on the ridiculous plot.

Back to Terri, does she even have any redeeming qualities?

Joss Whedon is going to direct an episode.
