Too funny IMHO … I even spent 7 bucks on “insider extreme” in hopes of getting a better look at this ‘thing’ but the insider extreme links to the university only take me to a site where I can buy Glenn Beck University shirts, hats, mugs and what not …

My looking forward to the humor possibilities of this is tempered by the fact that this will influence more people towards his paranoia and fear mongering.
Glenn Beck University sounds nearly as wrong as Cardinal Law Daycare or Mel Gibson Yeshiva.
This whole scheme makes Trump University look like Harvard.
Maybe that’s the only way he could get a degree? You know, IIRC, Beck, Limbaugh and Hannity are all drop outs. I think O’Reilly graduated from Notre Dame, but he doesn’t consider himself conservative. Is there some kind of education cap on conservatism?
O’Reilly got his BA from Marist College in New York, and later earned Masters’ from Boston University and Harvard.
According to Wikipedia, Glenn Beck attended one course at Yale, and then dropped out.
Well, this made me curious, because this seems to have occurred well into his professional career and…also, one class? That just seems weird. Fortunately, Wiki had a source. Apparently Joe Lieberman got him into Yale on a part-time basis? Whaaaat? I’m poking around Yale’s website and they don’t really have a section on studying part time (unsurprisingly, as it is not exactly a community college), but on this page for would-be transfer students, they explicitly say that transfer students must attend school full-time. Which leads me to believe that the part-time program is not typical.
The whole thing sounds weird to me. Not to mention the inherently unbelievability of “Glenn Beck got into Yale”.
Personally, I wouldn’t allow Glenn Beck to extinguish the blaze if I were on fire.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he offered courses like “What THEY won’t tell you!!” and “Obama and Hitler: A Comparative Analysis” and “EARTH HAS 4 CORNER SIMULTANEOUS 4-DAY TIME CUBE.”
Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole ‘university’ is just a chance to market GB hats and t-shirts.

sounds like they’ll be teaching the bullshit version of american history wherein everyone of the founding fathers was a devout christian who hated communist facist liberals and Jesus rode around on a dinosaur. Also gravity and the color yellow are completely made up.

From what I can tell you get access to the archives of his shows and access to a message board that is about as insane as you’d expect. There’s other stuff in there of course but that’s the meat of it.

Yale has the Eli Whitney Student Program. It’s designed for students with non traditional backgrounds; usually older people who never got a college degree. Eli Whitney Students can attend either full or part time, and upon completion of all necessary requirements, will get a BA or BS from Yale.
Imho, it looks like an attempt to make people pay a subscription fee for his radio show, which, imho, is pretty brilliant if you ask me.
I think my coworker must been attending GBU. Yesterday he asked if I was familiar with Beck’s take on the Constitution. I said I didn’t have any interest in what Glenn had to say.
“Oh, but have you listened to his show? Have you seen him on TV? He has some important things to say!” :rolleyes:
I decided to cut the conversation short and said, “I’ve heard all I need to from him. Glenn Beck is a rabble-rousing jerk.” Sure enough, my strategy worked. The office was quiet for the rest of the afternoon. 
Do you honestly believe Beck cares about the Constitution, the founding fathers or any of the principles that made this country great? Sheeeeeyiiiiiiittttt (doing my best Clay Davis impression). As I said before, he’s just a shock jock who found his niche pandering to right wingers. If he thought he could make a buck by taking a dump on the American flag, you’d see his pants flying down at warp speed. This “university” of his is just another scheme to seperate his followers from their cash.
I wish I hadn’t ponied up the subscription fee so I could see if this thread was brought to us by Goldline.
