This question may be painfully obvious to some but I’m out of the loop on the latest lingo.
By the Urban Dictionary definition glurge is sappy sweet in nature. So what do I call non-sweet chain emails that are obvious garbage stories? I’m talking about about political, pseudoscience, etc.
The primary usage would be,“Stop sending me this _____!”
I know I can fill in the blank pretty easily with many other words but I’m looking for a specific term if it exists.
Garbage works for me.
Depends on your relationship with the sender. You could just say, “Stop sending me this shit!”
Since there are probably multiple correct answers, let’s move to IMHO from GQ.

I just use “glurge” as a generic term for all trashy type chain emails. This sort of thing: “Mars will appear as big as the moon in August!” “This month has 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays, and 5 Sundays! This only happens once every 827 years!” “Like this picture and see the cool thing that happens!” “Obama issues stamp to honor Muslims!” You get the idea. They’re all glurge to me.
Glurge.
Garbage.
Glarbage.
