What exactly is your damage bayonet? You act as if Phlosphr does this sort of thing weekly! Both times he has confronted someone helpless kids have been involved! How in the hell do you know that he would not confront a man his size or larger if he witnessed a child being abused or neglected?!
No, I see a pattern emerging too-however, what I see is that Phlosphr openly speaks up when children are abused in his presence.

Your blatent disregard for my statement tells me you simply do not want to hear it or are not reading my posts. I rarely have a conflict with my wife we have a mutual respect for each other. I never argue with waiter’s or waitress’ because I used to be a waiter in grad school and I remember what it was like. I usually pay my taxes on time - if I didn’t my wife has a guillotine. I generally do not like confrontation.
However, when I do argue with someone I do so with a little tact. And what really goes up my ass sideways is when grown adults abuse people weaker and/or in someway beneath them. And Yes, I don’t care if it was Andre the Fucking Giant I’d still get in his face if he were hitting a little boy, or worse yet someone with a mental disability.
It pisses me off. And it was an exercise in self control last eveing to not get more angry at the woman and call DCF on her…
bayonet, on what grounds are you making this accusation? As far as I can see, the only evidence you have is that on the two occasions you know of, the abuser was smaller than him. But he’s over six feet tall! It’s statistically likely that the majority of the people he encounters will be smaller than him.
By the way, I’m a 5’2"* female, and I admit I would be less likely to directly approach an abuser who is much larger than me. I would be afraid of him. (I would try to report him, but that’s a different thing.)
*Or 5’1". Something in between. Maybe 5’1 3/4. One must be precise in these things.

Since you make the leap of analyzing Mr P’s character and state that he would not have the courage to say anything if the offender was larger, I’ll do the same for you. You’ve shown no evidence of ever standing up for anything or anyone, and thus a coward. Mr P is at least 2 incidents better than you that we know of. You sniveling little weasel. Mr P wasn’t asking for a medal or any acclaim for himself, just ranting about this sub-human abuser.

I remember that thread. Seems to me that Phosphr was going on something a police friend of his had told him. He had no reason to doubt if it was correct or not. When many people called him on it and it ended up being false he apologized.
