The Redskins had a late touchdown stolen from them because of a highly questionable penalty, a touchdown that would have (with the extra point) given them the lead. It seems only right, given the questionable way that the Republicans won the 2000 election, that the pro-Republican result of the game would be decided in a similar fashion.
I just checked that Snopes link. They’ve already updated it with Green Bay’s victory! It wouldn’t seem to me that a website like Snopes would concern itself with posting updates all that quickly.
