Kneezle? Screwt? Doxie?
All quiet on the Eastern front
Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose… (More of the same)
At the very best, one could argue that we absolutely must take Fallujah in order to help the Iraqi people gain their freedom. It’s a stretch but an argument can be made. Let’s assume that it’s true.
In order to take Fallujah, scores of coallition soldiers will die or be severely injured. The same can be said about thousands if Iraqis, some of whom will be insurgents and others will be innocent civillians.
I don’t think that anyone here is rooting for the insurgents. I think that we can all agree that we want as few people to die or get hurt as possible. Like I said, at best we are doing a terrible thing that we have to do depite the fact that it’s a terrible thing.
Why would you cheer for this, Blackacre? It’s like cheering because you made the decision to take your grandmother off of life support. Show some fucking respect, asshole.

Mark Twain:
Thank you, God, for Mark Twain. Could we have him back? We really, really need him. Bad.
You think he´d like to come back?
No. Jesus would have to talk him into it.
You’re a proven liar, who cares what you say?
Mark Twain?
51% of people don’t like his work, and that obviously proves them right, because, like, there are a lot of them.
<a href=http://webpages.shepherd.edu/maustin/rhetoric/fallacies.htm> Tu Quo</a>
You want to stop doing this anytime soon?
whoops, coding.
(preview, preview, preview :smack: )
your fallacy is “tu quo”
But a driveby fallacy in reasoning is at least fun to categorize.
Oh, yea, sorry for the ambiguity! I can see where that would not make much sense, if it made any at all. Anyways, I was stating that the OP started an instant pile on train wreck, which was manifested in my belief that it would end soon. No, I was not hoping for Blackacre’s posting to end, even though it has been “flavorful” in the past IIRC.
Oh, that’s OK, Finn, just one of those schoolgirl crushes, like the tomboy who throws a dirt clod at you to get your attention.

And just when I thought Blackacre had achieved the near-impossible – uniting Doperdom on one thing in this divisive time: That a certain dark blot on the landscape is beneath contempt.
Or, you know, the correct way round for the phrase. Either way. :smack:

That’s all right, we knew what you meant. And you got the :wally just right.
Who knew Twain wrote Psalm 18?:
That was the old God. Before he got religion.
So’s the oil.
