Can someone translate this for me: “Gobbles will 0wn y00”. It was used by the author of BitTorrent in a discussion of security issues.

      • The initial time I heard the name “Gobbles” was in the South Park episode where Timmy (the kid in the wheelchair) has to pick a turkey for the class play, and he picks a mutant turkey and names it Gobbles…

Gobbles is a self-styled “haxx0r” who often posts very poorly written alerts about vulnerabilities to the bugtraq and sec-vuln maillists, among others.

He talks about himself in the third person, talks trash, and generally just makes an ass of himself.

He has become something of an object of ridicule in info-sec circles, and I have seen other places where people drop this line. It is becoming the “all your base” of info-sec/open source world.

Whoops, forgot to mention, I am sure he lifted the name from South Park. As something that unbelievably clever would be oh so 733t.

And when it comes to things oh so 733t, Timmy saying nothing but “Gobbles!” would be more intelligable.
