What exactly was the point of Jesus coming to earth and dying on the crucifix?
And if there is an afterlife what is the point of the present life?

God went to earth to sacrifice himself to himself in order to spare us all from the wrath he would inflict upon us for a violating laws that he made… by himself. 
So don’t buy it. What’s the problem?
