Have some pity on me as a poor Chiefs fan. Our boys were 9-5 and only had to beat either Seattle or Oakland in either of their last two games to make the playoffs. If they’d beaten Seattle, they’d have won the AFC West. Of course, they blew both games, losing against Oakland in overtime. In Arrowhead, where the Chiefs DO NOT lose, and especially against the hated Davisites. Oh, well, I suppose that that shows they didn’t deserve to make the playoffs anyway. (Sighs a typical fair-minded Midwesterner’s sigh of exasperation.)
Personally my team is Denver, but sheesh Lawrence wasn’t the AFC West pathetic this year ?? Seattle was the best team they could send to the playoffs ? The lakebirds looked like a freakin high school team in the second half against Miami. I hope Terrel Davis is back next year. In the meantime my SuperBowl pick : Jax vs Rams, with Rams winning 32-28.

I have taken the liberty of correcting the small error in your link that keeps it from working. And while I’d like to see the Bucs beat the Rams, I think the Corn-for-a-dollars* are gonna fare like Bambi did against Godzilla.

I have to admit that I was pulling for Tampa Bay in that game. What steams me, is that Coach Norv Turner singled out the snapper as the cause for the team’s loss on national television!! Duh, Norv, if your team had played better in the 2nd half, then you would not have needed a last second field goal!
I have coached several different ages of youth teams and I have never, EVER singled out a player as the sole cause for my team’s loss! That comment made me sick! Who would want to play for such a pathetic coach, especially after making a statement like that?!
I see my 12/7/99 prediction of Rams vs. Titans held true. Now if Jervon Kearse can knock Kurt Warner’s god-fearing block off . . .

And now that the Bucs are out, their website no longer has that really cool animation of their pirate ship sinking the Rams’ ship. Its cannons fired footballs, y’see, and…
Never mind.

“The Dark Side of Georgia Frontiere.”
Skip Bayless is a good, brave, sportswriter. The death of Carroll Rosenbloom, her previous husband, has been a suspected homicide for years, but most people today don’t know about it or have forgotten it or have ignored it.
I hope they get her for it. If she’s innocent of that, then I hope the Rams lose the Bowl just because she owns the team.
Od course, I have to wonder how many other owners could withstand such close scrutiny.
Enjoy the game!
