Goddamned Wild Horses! (Now with pics!)

I think I got it figured out. I’ll endeavor to persevere to get better pony pics.

There wasa population explosion of wild horses on the Yakama reservation in Washington State, the subject of how to deal with it became difficult.

Apparently it’s not legal operate a slaughterhouse for wild horses in the US, but it was found to be permissible for a tribal nation to sell them to non-US slaughterhouses. (Mostly in Canada, which is closer to where they are.) Apparently the budget forbids the USDA from spending any money to inspect slaughterhouses that kill horses, which amounts to a de facto ban on them.

Wow, they’re really beautiful! The colt is gorgeous and the one with grey on her is especially beautiful. I’d be out there with carrots and a big bucket of water

Love your canine crew as well!

Rotten shark?

Though what’s the point of going to an exotic land if you’re not going to try their exotic food?

Those horses look kind of dachshundy to me.

Wild horses in the backyard. That is the coolest thing. I would probably be dumping hay over the fence, but I wouldn’t want to get them too used to humans.

I follow Mustang Meg on Facebook. She’s a wildlife photographer who tracks a mustang herd in Oregon, I think in the eastern part of the state.

It truly pains me to admit being objectified with the moniker, “Hung like a Stallion.”

But, if, in your so to speak, back yard, you see an especially well endowed stallion, wearing lots of bling and a Phillies baseball cap, mounting a mare who bears more than a passing resembalance to [del]Tori Spelling[/del] [del]Sarah Jessica Parker[/del] Hilary Swank…that may just be me and my current filly horsing around

…just [del]snortin’[/del] sayin’

Thanks for the link! They’re magnificent - especially the blue-eyed stallions.

Not allowed to feed or “harrasse” the wild horses. A Federal Crime. I try to keep on the down low.

I’ll try to get some better pics. They stand right outside the fence, for Christ’s sake!

Nothing prettier, my friend.

Look at Tricker. There is nothing so cute as her!

Which one is Tricker?

Oh, dachshunds. No wonder they freaked out. Shorty dogs seem to think they have to make a lot of noise or the big guys will step on them.

For me personally? Lots and lots of photos.

Which is why I’m jealous of someone who has wild horses hanging out in their backyard. I’ve actually considered putting together a wild horse photo trip.

Top row, right hand picture: as a puppy

Second row, right hand picture: 12 o’clock high, then Ted, Doxie and Dixie

Back of Jeep photo: In the background, looks like her head is growing out of Doxie’s butt.

Dixie is the Momma dog, Trix and Ted are her pups. Doxie was just an observer.

Yep it’s against the law to feel wild horses.

Yep. She is a cutie. skritches

Dude. You’ve got a horsecock monument in your back yard, and you’re wondering why all the horses are showing up to do the nasty there?

That’s what I thought at first! Thinking, “is horses slang for puppies??”

If the horses built that rock sculpture by themselves, it’s time to leave the planet.

Don’t worry. The proposed new budget will make mowing all those horses down legal and part of the economic recovery.

All Hail Kennel Ration!!! :frowning:

Maybe some ugly Sarah Palin faced scrubs will start tours to machine gun them down by plane for sport.
What a Sportsman Challenge…!

I like where you’re going there, but still sounds a bit unwieldy. Just set up some lawnchairs and a six-pack and supersoak’em. But try to avoid hitting them in the eyes or cock* - I’m guessing that would hurt.

Maybe they’re loitering to watch you get it on, and after learning a tip or two, try it themselves?

*or up the ass might be unpleasant also.
