Going to California

No not the Led Zeppelin song.

Bright and early tomorrow morning I am leaving for sunny California. I am starting to get realy excited. It is my first trip there.

I am in town for a job interview, so I am only there until sunday. Even if I don’t get the job it is still a free vacation.

The weather has got to be better than it has been here. It snowed yesterday!

That’s it, I just thought I would share.

It snowed here yesterday too.
And I’m NOT going anyplace sunny and warm for free.

Oh yeah, and…

Well Scoob, if your going to the bay area (silicon vally especially) ya’ missed out on last weeks great weather.

Rainy and miserable today.

Enjoy every minute of it, including the interview.

I’ve learned that if someone says something unkind about me, I must live so that no one will believe it.

What’s so exciting about that? I live there. This sunny, 24°(C) weather in the winter is so tedious. Please bring us some snow.

What PART of California? Maybe we have some good tips for you, but L.A., San Francisco and Palo Alto, f’instance, all are pretty different.

I would give my right one to go anywhere right now.

Enjoy the break, and good luck with the job interview.

Ahhhhhhh…La Jolla, Cucamonga, Barstow, Castroville, Susanville, Fort Bragg, Yreka…all the same damn thing, you ask me.

To clarify I am going to Irvine.

Arnold, the -20(how do you make that degree sign?)C and snow for 4-5 months can get pretty tedious too.

Hey Scoob…
Lived here my whole life and find it difficult to get excited about. What is it that’s got you drooling?? I need to remember WHY it is I live here!!!

Scoobysnax-

Don’t let them dull your enthusiasm. I love it here, even though I return to South Africa soon. The climate is like home for me. I got a good dose of snow (4 years) in Minneapolis, enough for a lifetime! I won’t even ski except in the spring when I can take my shirt off.

It’s sunny today in the RSA.

Hey, Arnold, speak for yourself.
Anyway, we already have plenty of snow. Up there in the mountains, exactly where snow belongs.
Peace,
mangeorge

Teach your kids to bungee jump.
One them might have to cross a bridge someday.

Here in southern California’s, beautiful San Fernando Valley, it’s sunny and in the upper 70’s. Should be in the high 80’s over the weekend.

Life is good.

I see about a week of rain ahead on tv. But its hot! Yep, rain & hot. weird for california.

A few of us are getting together at Ye Olde King’s Head in Santa Monica, on Santa Monica Blvd. & 2nd Street, at about 4:00 on Saturday the 15th.

From Irvine, take the 5 north to the 405 north. Take the 405 north to the 10 west. West on the 10 to 5th St. Take 5th St. to Santa Monica Blvd. Santa Monica Blvd. (left) to 2nd St. Turn right and park in the structure (it’s a pay-for-park place). Cross the street, turn left back to SMO Blvd. and there’s Ye Old King’s Head.
