The peanut butter poll reminded me of this product. It’s a mix of peanut butter and grape jelly. It is possibly the most inedible thing I’ve ever spent a $1.99 on. The kids insisted and it seemed like a good idea. Nope. Didn’t work out. At. All.
Anymore products like this?
Smuckers “Uncrustables” frozen PBJ…sorta snadwhiches?
One of the more famous examples was New Coke. Blech.
Confession. I laughed at Uncrustables when I first saw them. There is now a box in my freezer. I loff them.
It’s been years, but I loved goober grape as a kid!
Speaking of nasty peanut butter concoctions, does anybody remember Koogle?

Cinnamon peanut? That does not sound like two things that would go so great together.
Me too. When I was a kid, the BEST way to eat PB&J was to take one part PB and one part Jelly, mix it in a bowl until you get a homogeneous pile of goo. Then slather it between two slices of white bread.
Anyway, Goober Grape made that whole process so much easier.
Yeah, pb & jelly in the same jar has been a thing for over sixty years.
My mom bought it a few times. Overall we preferred buying pb & jelly separately.
I like pb & apple jelly better than pb & grape.
When I had my wisdom teeth removed, I ate Goober Grape for 3 days to get some sort of protein in me. Jello and applesauce only got you so far.
Actually, that might be a fun side question. What jelly/jam to go with peanut butter? I believe Smuckers just had grape and strawberry as the options for their Goober line. While strawberry jam is what we typically have around the house, I have to say, to me, peanut butter and (Concord) grape jelly really are pretty much to me the definitive pb&j sandwich.
I like jam better than jelly, anyday. I make mulberry jelly from my mulberry tree every year. It’s not real good with peanut butter. It’s best on biscuits or toast.
Shouldn’t this be in Cafe Society?
I remember Koogle. Don’t remember getting a second jar, though.
Mods can move it, if it’s necessary, doesn’t matter to me.
Tang.
There was a reason it got sent to space.
Me three! OK, maybe not loved it, but it was convenient when I didn’t want to buy two different jars to get the same thing. Neither the peanut butter or the jelly was as good as they were separately, but it was more convenient. I was buying it for myself, so I wasn’t a tiny kid, but It was a while ago.
I’d love to see a new thread on this. I’ve tried a bunch of stuff. If you don’t want to start it, I will.
You can’t have orange-Julius without Tang!
Colored ketchup. Ketchup should be red, but Heinz produced it in purple, pink, orange, teal, and blue colors, some years ago. Cite.

Yep.
Moving thread from MPSIMS to Cafe Society.
A little town I used to live in had an annual festival–the Strawberry Festival. The town was noted for its strawberries.
At the festival, a number of local musicians (including me) would get together and play music on Main Street when it was closed down for the day. Since it was a loose agglomeration of local musicians that came and went during the day, we called it the only thing we could think of: Strawberry Jam.
