I’m looking for a good webpage that has many paintings available online. The best page I’ve ever found is this one.

I want one that has just flat out good paintings scanned online. Thanks.

Hands down one of the best painters of superheros living today. Love his portraits of Superman, Green Arrow, and surprisingly, The Wonder Twins (?)
From the Dept. of Shameless Self-promotion, my site is at http://ultramarine-cp.com/sketchbook.html
There you’ll find a bunch of sketches and drawings. The fineness of the art therein, you’ll have to judge for yourself.
Other than that, I guess it would depend on what you mean by art. And do you mean sites to look at art, or to buy it?
Hey, are you a student, fine arts student, or an artist? Because if you are (and this goes for anyone) you can look at famous portraits and do me a huge favour at the same time – by taking part in a very easy research study. The task involves rating these portraits on things like shyness, confidence, etc. and will only take about 20-25 minutes. I’m especially desperate for artists and art students to do this, because my university doesn’t have a fine arts department for easy pickings. Anyway, the address is: http://www.soft.net.uk/stevemac/psych00.html
Follow the link for online participants and if anyone decides to do it, just e-mail me (my address is on the site) and I’ll e-mail you a copy of the questionnaire, which you can fill out and e-mail back to me. It’s easy!
vertiginous, checked out your web site, great sketches!
Also shameless self-promotion - I recommend Wet Canvas.com. Nestled somewhere in its massive pages of art support, art instruction, etc., some of my art “tutorials” are featured. But you needn’t look for my art, just check out the site!
“bowieart.com” is kinda cool.

That’s a fantasy art gallery. ENORMOUS amount of content, very, very good.
I don’t know if this counts or helps, but the Vatican’s website at http://www.vatican.va is absolutely stunning, and there is a link to the Vatican museum at http://www.vatican.va/museums/index.htm
