Good Eats Marathon Today!!

It’s true!! Many hours of Good Eats starts today!! Right now actually! The first episode comes right out of the gate with grilling. I’m not a fan of lamb (the meat of choice today) but the info. about charcoal grills is quite informative. Now, to go buy some CHUNKS, not briquettes, and a chiminey starter, not lighter fluid.

Damn, I missed the grilling episode. Any good tips you want to share from the show? I’m watching the beer brewing one now.

Drat, I missed the beer and pickling episode. Tips? Umm…get a grill with large, cast-iron grilling surface, maybe a door in to bottom to add more charcoal. Buy chunk charcoal, not briquetts, and start it with a chiminey heater for best results. Don’t open the grill top, as it adds up to five minutes every time you do it.

That’s about it for now, now, time for lobster…
