I am a strapped for cash teen…and I was recently infected with some viruses thinks to some siblings :smack: . I need a GOOD FREE virus scan software. The key words are GOOD and FREE. please help. all advise and suggestions are appriciated. thanks ahead of time!

You can d/l a fully-functional version of Norton Anti-Virus to try out.
I also recommend AVG. It’s not quite as configurable as the Pro version or Norton AV, but it does quite a bang-up job as a free virus scanner (it actually caught a couple virii that Norton AV missed!).
Also, for a one-off scan, it’s worth also checking out the ‘housecall’ online scanner at www.antivirus.com.

It was “OMG some one please help…PLEASE I AM BEGGING.” Before I opened the thread, I was sure he had just awakened in a bathtub full of ice without his kidneys.
it’s still there at the top of the OP; when the mods edit a thread title, it seems that they often leave the OPs post title (which starts off the same) intact; I assume that this is either intentional or involves a separate editing operation and as such is not worthwhile.

Changing the thread title is editing the thread, which does not change the post. In order to change the post title, we would have to edit the post also, and that is a separate operation.
