Good gift for the wife while in Hong Kong?

I’m in Hong Kong for 24 more hours, and want to fetch something nice (but not expensive) for the wife as long as I’m here. But nothing has sprung to mind as of yet. Any suggestions? Or, for those familiar with HK, any shopping areas that you’d recommend for a nice range of gifts?

I’ve never been to Hong Kong, but I’ve always heard pearls are a good buy there. A friend brought me a strand of jade beads from China last year and they are just beautiful.

Never been to HK, but I can tell you what I would want my husband to bring home for me if he ever got a chance to go:

Go to one of the big Chinese government department stores - there is one in Central, and one in Causeway Bay, both on the main drag, and get lots and lots of silk.

These places also do intricate little darkwood boxes and cabinets, for keeping jewellry in and so on.
