I just found my Bad Religion No Control CD that I thought I had lost forever. OH HAPPY DAYS.
And I just got my new car over a 1000 miles so now I can really drive!

The power was off at work for 2 hours this morning, and they let us take off for a while. I went to the library, and stopped to see my SO’s new office. Yippee!
I got a raise yesterday!
Late yesterday afternoon, my boss called me in to her office and said to shut the door. At that point, I was figuring that either (a) the sexual harrassment was finally about to get underway (it’s about time!), or (b) they finally noticed how much time I spend on the SDMB during working hours. Either way, a nerve-wracking prospect.
Instead, she said that she and her own boss continued to be blown away by the high quality of my writing, that they recognized I was being paid less than my talents merited, and wanted to correct that. they gave me a ten percent merit increase, independent of the usual annual raises they hand out around here. woo hoo!

My good news:
I have a few high profile projects at work that will definately raise my status once they are completed.
I am closer to getting into a new area of my company.
I have 2 trips planned for this year, one to New Orleans and one Alaskan cruise.
I got a good sized bonus this quarter, which will be used to buy new furniture.
If you feel that you must suffer, then plan your suffering carefully–as you choose your dreams, as you conceive your ancestors.

I just sold some of my stock options at an effective value of 20.13 per share, 500 shares. UncaSam gonna get a chunk of it, but is still a nice down payment on a car and removal of a few debts.

I received one job offer today, and friday I go for an interview with another company. I think both positions will require business travel (to somewhere other than scenic Midland, TX) so I’m hoping to have a chance to meet Doper’s across the U.S. in the future.

My boss let me leave a half hour early with pay yesterday! Life doesn’t get much better than that let me tell you. And people are starting to recieve our Wedding Invites! Whoohoo!

I just set up a meeting with a guy who runs an eye treatment clinic in Kathmandu. I’m going to meet with him in K-du next month and see if we can arrange for an “eye camp” at the clinic my charity runs. An eye camp is where several eye doctors and surgens come to remote area for several days, examine people, and perform cataract surgery. We have never had an eye doctor in the remote region of our clinic, so it would really be great for the people. I’m totally stoked. Send good vibes my way so that I can get all this arranged and pull it off.
