Good Omens Season 3

I didn’t see anything else about this …Good Omens Season 3 Trailer.

I know that the show has a number of fans. However, given everything about Gaiman I am not sure how this is going to be received. I have enjoyed the show enough that I will watch it. Anybody else?

Three days…

I enjoyed the first series, but didn’t think much of the second. Given Prime now has adverts, I’ll happily give this a miss regardless of my feelings about Gaiman.

Hmm… I loved the first season but didn’t finish season 2.

I’m in! Just have to convince the husband.

I’ll watch it. I don’t have a problem separating an artist’s work from his personal life.

I’m just dubious as to whether there’s enough more story to be told with these characters and setting to be worthwhile. I enjoyed both seasons, but was a bit less enthused by the second than by the first.

There’s only two episodes this time. It’ll be over quickly.

One episode. Which I watched.

Thanks to the deeply disturbing revelations about Gaiman, season 3 was truncated from a full season to one 90 minute episode. And while it was done about as well as could be, you can still see the scars where great chunks of various storylines were hacked out, leaving in particular a rather abrupt ending to what was one of the main plots.

That said, and rushed storytelling aside, I thought the ending was both appropriate and sweet when we got there.

The first season was very enjoyable and well done. The second seemed rudderless and I couldn’t hold my interest. I’ll probably skip the third season.

I found this interesting-

An online petition requesting that the streaming service (misidentified as Netflix) cancel Good Omens reportedly received more than 20,000 signatures from people objecting to its content; it was actually on Amazon Prime. The petition, posted as part of a campaign by US religious organization Return to Order, criticized the show’s irreverent treatment of topics relating to Satanism and the devil, and the use of a female voice for God. The original petition was removed from the site, corrected and reposted.[85][86]

Altho I concur about “disturbing”- “allegations” would be better than “revelations”. Gaiman was wise to bow out.

I don’t know where I read it was two, but I guess I misremembered.

Even the stuff he admitted to was “disturbing”. The allegations were “horrifying”.

We watched it last night. It was okay, but weak. I think it was really hard to come back from where the story left off in Season 2, but I understand no one wanting to leave it there! So, not much of a plot, but just enough to make for a more palatable ending. Low point: the car ride. It just seemed silly to me. High point: the portrait of Pterry in the pub. :smiling_face_with_tear:

We watched it the other day without realising it was going to be a single feature length episode and it just felt like a lot of assorted things happened, then they all stopped happening. I have no idea if it was supposed to be a longer series but it just seemed to drop everything and then hurriedly wrap up.
