Good Place To Register for Furniture?

So my husband and I aren’t really materialistic types. But my large Italian family demands we register for gifts anyway. Looking around, we realize we don’t need creamers and forks and fancy plates. But some furniture, now that might not be so bad.

Anyone know of places online to register for furniture? IKEA, those bastrads, don’t seem to have a registry.

Pottery Barn, Ethan Allen and Crate & Barrel sell furniture and they also have a gift registry sections on their web sites.

Inklberry - I live in Stonington, the southwest corner of CT, and here are some good suggestions: First of all , the big Italian Family thing will work in your benefit. Think of it this way, thisis the one day, that your family wants ot get you really nice things, so take them up on it. My wife and I felt really bad when we registered, because we registered for nice stuff. The best part about registering, is that the people going to the stores don’t have to get you what you asked for…they get to choose from you list…

That said, the new Ikea in New Haven is a good bet, but you would have to go to the store and see if that individual one has a registry. Otherwise, Crate & Barrel, William Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Pier One, Target, Kohls, Raymore & Flannigan are all good places to register. Maybe drop a hint to a couple uncles, maybe they will all go in together for something big  Good luck. I’ve been happily married 10 years now, still have the same set of kitchen knives…Because we asked for the good ones

:smack: Doh!! I apparently don’t know where I live…Stonington, South EAST corner of CT.

Thanks for the ideas. I hadn’t seen Crate and Barrel yet.

We are not so fancy as all of that. Also, we are expecting a small human in 2 months, who will no doubt crap and vomit all over it.

Any ideas for something more modern/hip/less expensive?

I may look into Babies R’US as well. More hip/modern you say??? Target would be modern…not sure about the hip part…

Hmmm. I can’t think of any, unfortunately. Amazon.com has a furniture section and you can create and share a wish list. Maybe you could go that route.
