I have to side with the late Doctordec here. Being a conservative would just be so much more FUN than being some progressive type.
The trouble with being a hippy these days is just that no-one cares any more because everyone’s been taught to be accepting of different views. The gays even have to resort to marriage now to get any political attention thanks to all the desensitising that gos on with Queer Eye and its ilk.
But if you’re a fanatical rightwing, life’s never been easier! You’re in power, you can offend the majority of people just by stating your views and if any non-conservative objects, tell 'em to shutup and stop being so narrow minded, not respecting your opinions like that! Look at what Doctordec managed to do with a post that merely alluded to the above- you think a lefty could have done that? Conservative is the new way to go!
