Goodbye Citizen Dog

Ah for 6 years I have read you. One of the few great comics around. The end came on May 26. I shall miss your humor Mark O’Hare.

I have three posted in my office

  1. Cuddle is in the bunker scanning the skies with binoculars. Citizen Dog walks by with another dog and says "It’s official. He’s declared war on winter.

  2. Cuddles is in bunker scanning with binoculars and says “The lone special forces operative waits silently in his foxhole. He scans the sky above looking for any sign of the imminent invasion of winter flakes” The skinny cat comes into view in the in binocular and says “what’cha lookin for?” Cuddles replies with “wrong type of flake…”

  3. He is in bunker and says “Fack Frost intends to launch a major invasion and I’m on a mission to intercept and destroy the enemy at all costs.” He takes out a hairdryer and calls it “anti snowflake artillery.”

The last strips are at http://www.ucomics.com/citizendog/ They are some funny stuff.

You’re using irony here, arntcha? I read those three “jokes” and lost the capacity for joy forever.

Just cause it ain’t your cuppa tea doesn’t mean it wasn’t funny. I have met many IRL who enjoyed Citizen Dog.

Citizen Dog blew big hairy balls.

But that’s just my opinion. Hell, I like the “Family Circus” some days, so that tells you where my tastes lie.
