I just got some very good news … we are moving back to Indonesia. I’ve already spent 7 years there, and I love it. However, we have just one month of warning. This is pretty intimidating given that we have a son in school, two cats who may have to be put in quarantine, WAAYYY too many physical possessions to unload … well, you get the idea. An international move is usually a pretty big deal.

So I must keep myself off the SDMB for a while. This is going to be tough. I want to know how** Tokyo Player** is feeling. I want to know how the world of dating is going as seen through twickster’s eyes. I want to hear how phouka’s job is going. I want to read amazingly insightful parenting comments from Why Not and dangermom. I want to read sensible, eloquent commentary by Diogenes the Cynic. I want lobstermobster to give me a different point of view. (And there are many Dopers I haven’t mentioned by name that I am thinking of right now.) I want to read more comical references to lolcatz and ladles. And I’d like to get back to a few people I have unfinished PM conversations going on with.

But no, I shall be very very very very busy over the next few weeks and I really have to go cold turkey on the SDMB and buckle down.

So I’ll see you all in a couple of months, hopefully all settled in to Jakarta. Take care of yourselves, everyone.

Congratulations! May your packing go well, your unpacking not include any broken or missing objects, your pets (husband, child, cats) travel well and Indonesia be as great as you remember it.
