Gosh, you guys are a bunch of snooty-patooties !! I agree, there lacks a finesse here. But my god, it’s ESCHER ! The Google drawing had a certain crudeness about it. So did the Father’s Day art a few days before. So do many of the Google drawings. I read some article about the young man at Google who is responsible for the customized day artwork. Dang if he doesn’t look about 14.
Considering what a jaded bunch we usually are, just look at how delighted people are by the very idea of altering the wallpaper. Google is Google, it is the Home Page I set on every single computer I sit down at. Making adjustments in the artwork is to me a whimsical reminder that not everything is set in stone.
It pleases me that whomever this young man is, he hasn’t gone out of his way to change Google on a daily or even weekly basis. It’s pretty much hit-and-run.
To me that’s the coolest part. You never know when a daily altered Google will appear before your eyes.
