Google Chrome 0.4.154.25 - avoid?

I made the mistake of updating Google Chrome to 0.4.154.25 last night and have been having significant issues. I’ve logged reports, of course, but I’m wondering if any other Dopers are having similar issues.

Particular problems I’m having are

Random crashes.
Must leave tabs to fully load before switching away otherwise Chrome can crash.
Tabs sticking to mouse pointer.
Forum jump on vBulletin boards like the SDMB takes some seconds to appear and repeated clicking makes Chrome crash.

Vista Ultimate 64, SP1, fully patched.

I’ve been using it for a while and have had none of the issues you’re describing here. I’m using it right now, actually. I find it runs significantly faster on my computer and uses fewer resources than IE, which is why I switched over to it.

But are you using 0.4? 0.3 was fine for me.

So far Google Chrome is not playing nice with Youtube for me and other streaming websites, so for now I’ll stick with Firefox. I haven’t noticed any other issues though.

Mine plays fine with streaming video for a while. If it sits, it’ll play the first two seconds, and then stop.

Wow, glad its not just me who noticed it. I assumed it was the great firewall and was about to resign myself to crappy internet.

I’ve still found no reason to switch to Google Chrome. I used Opera for awhile and i liked it, but I’m still a Firefox user. I love me some extensions :wink:

I also had this issue for quite a while but it seems to have fixed itself after some patch.

I still use it due to its speed, but it certainly isn’t stable. It crashed much more often than IE, and most perplexing of all, when it crashes, the entire browser crashes and even the non-locked up tabs, some of which are even responding still, are closed down as well. Sort of makes you wonder about the point of breaking down tabs into separate processes if they can’t make them behave like it.

IE isn’t going anywhere on my machine.

Hmm, I use Chrome all day at work and it almost never crashes, and I have dozens of tabs open at a time.

Also, the latest version of Chrome was supposed to fix most problems with Flash–works flawlessly for me, so far.

I use the latest version of Google Chrome, it has not crashed once. I am using XP though, maybe it is a compatibility issue with Vista?
