Google Earth shows Harvey damage

Not mundane but I wanted to share anyway. I was using Google Earth to look at Point Aransas, TX which shows updates as of 8/29. Was not expecting the images to be this current.

Although Google Maps shows the same imagery date as Earth, it does not show the same level of damage (as of this writing).

On Earth, the Port A boat harbor is at 27°50’19.13" N 97°03’57.64" W (corresponds to this on Maps).

Copy/Paste Lat/Lon into the Search box in Earth to see the area. Probably have to zoom in a bit as well.

Rockport also has updated imagery and shows damage as well at 28°01’30.00" N 97°03’00.25" W ((same location on Maps for reference).

I’m very surprised that Google updated this quickly. Flooding came afterwards and is not captured in these images but we thankfully don’t see wide areas of flattened buildings.
